The owner’s story
Becoming a small business owner was not something Andrew had in his life plan. Armed with a Master’s Degree in Physiology, his plan was to obtain his Ph.D. in Health Sciences, become a Professor and through education of others influence them to pursue a healthy lifestyle.  

In his current role of Head Personal Trainer at Motion Fitness, Andrew discovered that it was very difficult for people to obtain massage and/or physiotherapy treatment without waiting days, weeks, and even months for an appointment.  It was in search of a solution for this problem that the idea for Hand & Stone was conceived.

Its innovative and unique lifestyle membership program not only offers you (in most instances) the same-day services you want at a price you can afford.

We know that massage has significant health benefits. It can improve your mental state by reducing stress and anxiety and promoting relaxation.  By reducing your blood pressure, it also reduces your chances of developing chronic hypertension and subsequent heart disease.

BONUS:  Massage is a recognized adjunctive heath therapy.  Most types of massage therapy at Hand & Stone are covered by your group/individual Medical Insurance plans.
